Two days until I depart for Colorado. I’ll take the long way there and leave Kansas City Union Station Sunday morning heading East to arrive in Galesburg, Il. in the afternoon. Then I’ll catch the California Zephyr heading West on one of the most stunning routes in the U.S. to arrive in Winter Park the following morning. Plans for the trip include a delightful array of nature, adventure, spa and wellness treatments, and gorgeous Colorado sunshine!
Winter Park: I’ll spend three nights at Stay Winter Park and take a Grand Adventures Snowmobile Tours one day. Tours top out at nearly 12,000 feet with views of the entire Winter Park ski area and the Fraser Valley. Then I have a massage scheduled with BLUE SKY MASSAGE and an exciting snow cat tour with Winter Park Resort. Among other places, I’ll dine at Hernando’s Pizza and Pasta Pub and Volario’s.
Glenwood Springs: I’ll spend my first night in Visit Glenwood Springs at Best Kept Secret B & B, then two nights at Courtyard Glenwood Springs. I’ll enjoy the Glenwood Hot Springs, Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves, and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Grand Junction: And finally, I’ll spend three nights in Grand Junction, Colorado where I’ll rent a car and visit the wineries, museums, and the Colorado National Monument before heading back to KC.
